Inspired by Space: Poems from NASA

Since I was a kid, I’ve loved space and NASA and all things stellar.

The other day, I was looking at some famous images from NASA and suddenly had an idea for a series of short poems or bits of imaginative prose based upon images released by NASA.

The goal is to post a photo and the poem it inspired each week. I’ll include the information about the photo provided by NASA and a link to that photo NASA’s Flickr page.

Entries in The Series

  1. Blast Off/Blown Apart
  2. Across the Moonscape
  3. Drifting Comfortably
  4. Safe Landing
  5. God, the Artist
  6. Going Back into the Unknown
  7. God’s Moon
