This is a post that I’ve been meaning to write for almost a year. It’s a rundown of what I’m working on and what I’ve been trying to accomplish. So, today, nearly ten months after I first thought about this post, I’m finally getting around to it.
Thus, with no more delay, here’s where I’m at in a few key areas: a bunch of works in progress.
Education and Professional Development
My Master’s degree has been on hold for some time thanks to a job change, but I have been trying to continue to grow. For one thing, I read twenty-four books last year and this year, I’m aiming for a full thirty, though I’ve only managed twenty so far.
I’ve also completed the process to be certified as a minister in the Assemblies of God. At this point, I’m merely waiting for everything to be approved.
Writing Projects
So, here’s some good news: I just finished a new book on social media. It’s less of a strategy guide as a philosophical/theological discussion. It look me all summer, which is far longer than I wanted, but it’s in the editor’s hands now and that’s what matters!
Currently, I’m working on two new books. One is an examination of life, death, and resurrection. I can’t get much more into that because it’s so early in the process. The other is a particle guidebook on how to DIY a Vacation Bible School for church’s of a smaller to medium size.
I have one more book that I’m very slowly researching about the USA and it’s history of justice or lack thereof.
Currently paused is a three-book set on Heaven. The first book got about 65% done. It makes me said, but I’ll get back to it one day.
Other Projects
The Ignorance of Church and State Podcast is about to enter it’s second season. It took us quite a long time to get into rhythm, but Kevon and I are pretty much there.
To raise a little extra cash, I’ve started to build websites for individuals and churches. It’s a nice change of pace from writing or reading, which is pretty much all I do now.
Lastly, I’ve always wanted to be a comedian, so I might try to record some videos for YouTube.
I have so many projects in my head that I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. No worries, though. I’ll try to update all of this in December.
